Next up in our Meet the Team series, it’sDanielle Knibb, Senior Consultant, gym-goer, and sourdough baker...

How did you end up in this role?

"I studied graphic design at uni. I love art and being creative, but I knew that I didn’t want to do it for a job. I didn’t like the feeling of having my art and creativity judged. I would have taken things far too personally.

"When I finished my degree I got a job as an account executive for a print and packaging house who worked with brands like Galaxy and Bird's Eye. They used Synergist and had really slick processes. It was my first experience of project management software and I think that’s where I developed my interest in it.

"I naturally gravitated towards more operations-type roles and worked in several different agencies where I helped them set up Synergist, but after my second baby, I started thinking about what direction I wanted my career to take next. I knew that Agency Works was somewhere I wanted to be as I could base my whole job around Synergist. When I saw this role come up I was like 'Surely, that’s destined for me!’"

What do you enjoy most about your role at Agency Works?

"I'm very systems and process orientated. I like figuring out how we can get Synergist to do what you need it to do. I love the fact there’s so many different ways to do things. For some people they might find that overwhelming but, for me, it’s almost spurred me on.

"I’m like ‘right, let’s figure out the easiest way to do it, the fastest way to do it’. I really do thrive off that. I think it's the figuring things out, the problem-solving aspect of it."

What do you like about agency life?

"I’ve always liked being in a creative environment and being around people who are really good at what they do. I love being around creatives and seeing what they come up with and helping facilitate that work. I really like being around such brilliant minds.

"Also, agencies are just full of good people. I've made some great friends through every place that I’ve worked. You meet so many different kinds of people and it’s so interesting."

What value do clients get from working with you?

"Probably that passion for Synergist and the problem solving. I think I bring a really positive outlook as I just thrive off the challenge and helping people figure things out."

What would you be doing if you weren’t in this job?

"As a kid I really liked animals so, if you'd asked me then, I was always going to be a vet. Then I got old enough to realise that would mean seeing animals in pain and sick, so I didn't really like that idea anymore.

"There was a time when I was thinking about becoming a personal trainer or a nutritionist, because I am really into health and fitness, but then I got pregnant, and life took me in a different direction! It does still cross my mind from time to time.

"If it wasn’t that then I’d really like to be an interiors Instagrammer. That would be my dream job, but I must admit, I don’t quite have the dedication (or the love for social media!) that it takes."

What about life ambitions?

"My kids are little, so they are the focus at the moment and, genuinely, my main goal in life is to make it so that when they're grown up they still want to spend time with me.

"I want to do things with them like travel and see places with them. They’re just really fun to be around."

What do you like doing when you're not at work?

"Apart from family stuff, I’m really into going to the gym. I try to make it there three times a week if I can and I’ll usually go running once a week too.

"I love baking too and have my own sourdough starter. I’m pretty good at making cakes too and recently made some gingerbread men with my son which was fun!"

And finally, any interesting talents or claims to fame?

"When I was about 14 I was on SMTV Live, the Saturday morning show.

"They used to have a bit where they did the postbag and everyone would sing ‘Hey Mr Postman’ and dance around, and I was in a cheerleading group called The Rising Stars and did a little dance in the background!

"I didn’t meet Ant or Dec but I did meet Cat Deeley, and Sisqo who was a guest on the show that week."
