There is a growing awareness of the impact that wellbeing has on individuals, businesses, organisations, the economy and society as a whole. With employee wellbeing becoming increasingly important, we wanted to get your thoughts.
Here are some of the key takeaways from the report:
What exactly is wellbeing and what do we mean by it in the workplace?
90% of Agency heads believe that wellbeing means a happy workplace. 77% Believe that a work/life balance is a vital element, with only 2% agreeing it is fairly important.
What is the most important area that affects employee wellbeing?
36% agree its down to leadership and line management. 24% believe its about working practices and 2% say its about getting employee benefits right.
Wellbeing shouldn’t be all about fresh fruit bowls, free massages and cut-price gym deals. There is little point to fancy ‘feel good’ add-ons if there isn’t an open and honest working environment where employees aren’t afraid to express their feelings and feel they can make a real difference. Creating this kind of culture with employee wellbeing at its heart requires buy-in from all members of staff from top to bottom and vice versa and it needs to be part of a long-term strategic commitment.
